My daughter bought me a reconditioned air fryer from walmart. I used it for the first time today. It made a very loud continous noise like the fan is hitting against something plus a loud screeching sound. Is this normal?

I have just found the manual for this model online and it states that the timer knob can be turned anticlockwise. Is there a problem with this model? Many Thanks LEEANN CASEY
